Ordered these with high hopes as there aren't many leather shoes for kids. Or at least leather sandels. My little boy has some thick, wide feet, and I made sure to size up. But alas, it still was not big enough to handle my little ones stompers. If I sized up any more, the sole would be too large for him to comfortably walk. I personally took them apart and added leather so his foot would fit. But the buckles won't stay closed because of the unquie buckle cloesures. My son keeps walking right out of his sandles. The shoes themselves are wonderfully made and are made from some quailty materials, and for the price its a steal. I'm disappointed and sad I couldn't make it work for my son. So if your little one has thicker, chunky feet, you might want to try either sizing up 2 sizes or looking elsewhere.
