Great Wallet that Holds a LOT More than I thought it would!
I got this wallet in a bundle offer with the Bagan Shoulder bag (which I really like, too), and am really pleased with it. I had a big, bulky wallet that I had been using for many years and it was starting to look really ratty. It was also a boring, cheaply made, fake leather thing. The only thing I loved about the old wallet was that it held a lot of cards, had a change pocket and a place for my checkbook and check record. When I decided to buy the Bagan bundle that included this wallet, I looked at the video of this wallet a number of times and ultimately decided it was worth the risk as it looked like there were a lot of things going into what was a small looking wallet. First of all, I was really delighted with the color and pattern I received, which was very close to the pattern in the online photo and I love it. As an artist who is very particular about color and pattern, this was the first plus! Vietnam 5 & 6 patterns vary a lot, so you may not get exactly the pattern you see in the promo photos, FYI. Secondly, when I transferred all the stuff from my old wallet to the new one, I was surprised and very pleased that everything fit, even though the wallet is thinner than my old one. There isn't a dedicated place for a checkbook and register, but there are sections enough to tuck them in there. I realized, too, after buying this, that I don't actually write as many checks as I did years ago when I bought the other wallet, so it's really not an issue. I'm still getting used to things are in different places from the old wallet, but I like the layout of the wallet, and can find things easily enough. It's very well made, is surprisingly big considering it's thing profile, which I think is due to the exceptional designers at Ethnotek. They really think about how to make the most of small spaces, and there are always nice details. One detail that I like in all of the Ethnotek bags that I have is that the inner fabric is always a light color, which helps to be able to see things easily when they are inside. There is a very small, fabric loop on the outside of the wallet which I'm thinking might be a pen loop? If so, none of my pens fit there, so that is one thing that might get an update, unless it's not a pen loop!
