I am very pleased with the improved all metal ruler and the light weight EXCEL hobby knife. I use these two tool together to construct card model buildings in 1/48 Scale (O Scale). The easier to read metal ruler with the hand-finger guard is much safer to use in cutting out parts. Also the lighter weight knife handle helps to ease the stress on my fingers (1 have arthritis in my right hand fingers). Another innovation I like is that there are several different colors in the Excel hobby knife handles allowing users to color code various types of blades fitted to various knives.
