A lot of work

Seemed more complicated than it needed to be. I've been sewing for over 50 years, learned heirloom sewing as well, which I believe is the reason I could figure out the instructions. NOT for a beginner, for sure. It did turn out lovely, although it is a little large for the original American Girl doll. IF I were ever to make it again, there are definitely things I would simplify. I used the pattern as a base for Samantha's Lawn Party dress.

Cute and fun.

Have only read and cut out the pattern so far and it looks adorable. Can't wait to get the trim and make it. No trims available in any stores nearby at the moment. I want to match buttons to trim so buy together.
