Early round red beets. A favorite since 1892, this smooth, nearly globe-shaped, deeply red beet is colourful raw in salads and sweet-flavoured steamed or baked. Makes a great borscht soup because the red stems are also flavourful. An outstanding keeper. Grows well in spring and fall. Heirloom.
