i bought this for swimming in Lake Wanaka in the autumn time before the lake has warmed up. It works well for swimming and stretches nicely so that breathing is easy. The combined hood and vest, would probably work even better.

Very nice and stretchy, does not choke you. Super warm, keep the cold water out.
