This was a perfect grate to replace an ugly plastic one in our Edwardian home. It is very solid and sturdy.

Well worth the money. This is a great quality vent, which adds character and style along with a well engineered mechanism. It appears to be built to last too . Well packaged and delivered promptly. You do need to take a bit of care when tightening the 6 flat head screws provided, so as not to damage the finish but overall a fantastic product!
