First impressions of serious needlepoint

I'm well impressed with the kit! All that is needed to proceed. My needle threading needs to improve though. This sewing is my "go-to" when I need some 'time out', it's calming, and I find, can even be meditative in approach. I'm trying to be prudent with wool usage, until I get an idea of quantities used, but overall, I'm really pressed with the kit. My next steps will be to make the finished piece up into a 'zipped' cushion cover! Have you thought of doing some simple 'videos' of techniques? Some may find this helpful. I set up my own version of a 'frame stand' to hold my needlepoint frame. Thank you.

Beautiful kit

Thirty years ago I was nuts about needlepoint. I completed two rugs and many pillows for myself and as gifts. This is the first time I purchased a printed canvas; always counted stitches or 'drew' freestyle. Your Boxing Hares kit is a delight to work. I am using a basket-weave stitch and expect the yarn provided will be sufficient. I would suggest that you mention the canvas is twelve stitches to the inch. Very pleased all round. Thank you,

The kit was beautifully presented and the canvas is printed to the highest quality enabling easy working. I am delighted with the results thus far and work daily to obtain a finished cushion to enjoy daily in my reading chair. The Dodo is firmly in my sights as a follow on project!
