Canvas Grocery Tote Bags

When you type Organic into search, this is one of several products I've ordered, which were labeled 100% cotton, when I recieved them. Was going to give as gifts, & now have to explain what Karen from OCM emailed me: they're not certified organic, even though cotton is grown organically. She said it's too expensive to get certification. Just wanting to let folks know, in case they're gifting to people who they might feel awkward explaining that it's organic, & just not labeled as such. The bags are sturdy. Last batch I ordered were plain, & purchased set of striped ones this time (thought they'd gotten around after couple of years, to updating their website, so, shame on me, that I presumed this, & now have more explaining to giftees to do🤷‍♀️). They did shrink alot when washed. Very sturdy & will last a very long time. Also, there wasn't any chemical smell, like some organic cotton bags can have.

Very well made and sturdy

These bags are great. They are very well made, with clean and tight stitching. The design is thoughtful and useful, with several side pockets for tall items. The material is strong and sturdy, yet also soft. But what really sets these apart is the length of the handles. In the description, it is claimed that these bags will hold up to 70 lbs. I can't verify that amount, but had a very full bag at the grocery store the last time shopping, and the long handles distributed the weight so effectively that the bag did not feel heavy. The handles are thick, and very well secured, and I am confident that these bags will handle heavy groceries for a long time. I have been using some thin reusable cloth bags for a while, but when they are full they make me nervous, as several have actually split. These ones feel like I wouldn't be able to overload them even if I was trying to. I just can't say enough about how well made these bags are. And all organic cotton, a major plus
