Garlic great for cichlids with sluggish appetite

I have a South American cichlid who has been treated for hexamita in the past. It took him over a month to recover and his appetite has been sluggish and he still has a sunken belly. After a month of mixing the garlic granules in with his regular pellets, I've notice the return of his previous energy level and an increased interest in food. He now charges the surface to get to the pellets. I'm waiting for the larger sized granules to come back into stock. I definitely plan on keeping him on this food.

I have a tetra species tank with some corydoras. The tetras go wild for this which I feed several times a week, along with other types/kinds of fish food.
