Unusual ensembe date

This date with an all star ensemble is quite good. All musicians are at their prime. Since I first hear the album something has always troubled me. The time that this was recorded when fade outs were rare of non existent, why the track Interplay was faded out. Traditionally the recording engineer would find an ending from another take or have the group record a tag. I am hoping that soon there will be a transfer of Everybody Digs Bill Evans. If for nothing more then the track recorded after all musicians were sent home. A track that is revered by Jazz and Classical musicians alike……Piece Peace.

Who needs Vinyl

This recording in dsd 128 instantly became my favorite Jazz recording. This recording is a superb example of what dsd can sound like. Realism, depth, air,dynamics, warmth, and you are there presence, all the characteristics of good vinyl, without vinyls drawbacks. Highly recommended. Oh and fantastic musicians and music too. A must have.
