Finally got them!
I was trying for a long time to find a replacement for those cheap Readytosky motors that would work well with my 9" quad. And finally here they are! I have to say that the delivery took quite some time; not something unexpected in these COVID times, however, 20 days without any update made me nervous - especially given that my previous attempt with a different vendor failed to the point of money refund. But finally the parcel reached the destination! Today I swapped the old motors for these new ones. Before doing that, and just after that, I performed small indoor hover tests and analysed the logs afterwards. To my surprise, I did not see the increase in efficiency: as the weight of the vehicle increased by 3%, the average power increased by just the same amount. Probably this test was "too easy". What definitely improved is vibrations. The old cheap motors had quite imperfect bearings, 2 out of 4 scratched when rotating them by hand. The new ones are flawless in this regard - all that nice and even sound, uh! This could be seen in the logs: the VIBE levels reported by ArduPilot got up to 20% reduction, even on an already very dampened system, and some serious noise peaks disappeared in the frequency diagrams. One strange thing was that the "white" markings, that supposedly mark motors aimed at rotating the white-marked propellers (I mean the DJI Phantom-style markup), appear to be for the black propellers, and vice versa. This is not a serious problem, it just caused some minute surprise. So I eagerly wait for the weather to allow some serious tuning and flying. Including, hopefully, some heavy 4S batteries, which the previous motors could not handle sanely :)
