Soul Ceramics Evenheat Knife Oven - Running in Utah

Happy to say that I got my Evenheat KO 22.5 knife heat treating oven up and running this week. Took me a little while to get the necessary outlet wired up, but I tested the oven as soon as I had power. I didn't perform any complicated tests yet, but the thing heats up and the temperature control as well as the control App all work fine. No smoke or sparks on the first try. I found the touch screen was not really very responsive, and while I think the display is easy enough to read, I had a hard time getting it to take my finger inputs easily. That probably won't be a problem since I'll just be programming a few heat treatment cycles and then select and run. A few of the "would be nice to have" features of the App are only available for a monthly fee. Not a big fan of that, but the oven can be run just fine without these features. Otherwise, I would have to say the oven appears to be well made and arrived in perfect condition. I worked in the glass industry for over 40 years and spent a lot of that time in labs working with similar ovens. I'd say this oven looks like it'll be fine for the long haul. I consider the price to be competitive and the pre-purchase customer service and logistics were great. Thank you to all the folks who contributed!

Kiln arrived earlier than expected by about 3 weeks! Freight company was a pleasure to deal with as was Soul Ceramics. Kiln in perfect condition and working great thus far ! I have heat treated two batches of O1 blades so far and it works flawlessly! Would purchase this kiln and from this company again.
