Thank you for your email. I bought this black oak because I had one on my last boat and it was a great light. I bought this one which has a little more spotlight and mounted it to the boat about 30 days ago. I used it this weekend while on the water at night. Wow. I was totally surprised! It lit up the channel markers 3/4 of a mile away. It throws out a beam of light that lights up the world in front of my boat. I am 65 years old, this light allows me to see what's in front of my boat as I navigate at night on the waters of south Florida and the Bahamas.

Safe and Bright Boating

I love the 4 inch bar for night fishing from my pontoon...I wanted enough light to see and be able to comfortably move around in the dark on my boat on the river. Damaged a previous boat by not having good enough lights...I turned these on and lit up my neighbors house like it was daylight outside. Needless to say they are more than enough to light my way at night! Thanks Black Oak for not only the durability but the quality of the lights.
