Lilly – Linen Midi Skirt with Button Closure

The color is just gorgeous, the fit is just right, the waistband is very comfortable. However, I was quite disappointed by the quality of button-sewing here - out of the 4 functional buttons, one came right off after the first wear (note that the size is perfect, it even feels looser than I expected), and then two more fell clean off after about a week! I didn't even wear it every day. And during the repairs, I noticed that the fourth button is already dangling, so I basically had to sew all four functional buttons back already in the first week of owning it. Knowing the general quality of Son de Flor pieces, I would expect something like this to happen after months or years of frequent wear, but not almost instantly. :(

The size here was a bit different from the other skirts I've ordered - the waist is a bit smaller (I wear a size L, alas) (after being skinny for my early years of enjoying clothing!). But it's beautiful enough that it inspires me to try to lose a bit of late-middle-aged weight. Not that anyone should feel bad about needing to order an XL, as I apparently should have done. :-)
