Exceeds expectations with Baystate Blue ink

Baystate Blue is an unforgiving ink in my experience, but works flawlessly in the BROAD tip on this pen. Flows well and writes smoothly and consistently... surprising me for such a small nib on the vanishing point. Kudos to the folks at Goulet pen for promptly answering my query about broad nibs in these pens. Smooth check out, and arrived on time.

I bought this pen in an airport shop almost 25 years ago, having been introduced to a fountain pen in elementary school. My first pen by Namika did not perform consistently but I bought this pilot one on the prompting from a colleague. I love this particular pen which I bought for check writing only. Everyone comments on it, from bankers to cash register attendants. I had planned to retire it when the pen suffered an accident and was lost. I promptly replaced it although I have other fountain pens in my collection. Now I have my eye on a limited edition fountain pen in the collection. And, by the way, I'm still carrying my oldest pen with black ink for everyday use. Obviously, this elegant pen is my standard!
