This is my first gold nib pen and it delivers! It writes so very smoothly. I agree with other posts that for a Japanese nib the Medium writes wetter than expected. I'm glad I went with the Decimo's narrower grip than the Vanishing point as it fits my grip comfortably. For comparison, I hold my pens very close to the nib. This is such a lovely and well designed pen!

My perfect carry pen!

The Pilot Vanishing Point Decimo is my perfect carry pen. I love it almost as much as my Pilot E95s daily writer. I use Noodler’s 54th Massachusetts in the Vanishing Point because of the water resistant property and the deep blue black color for signing things, filling out forms, etc. when out and about.

Love with Reservations

My reservations are not about the pen - it's beautiful. But I bought an extra fine point because the fine point I purchased a while back is too juicy. Alas, this is way too fine - a true extra fine. Great for cheap paper, but I can't even read my writing when I use good paper. So, be forewarned about the extra fine nib!
