Writes like a dream. Smooth with just the right bit of feedback/scratchiness. Extra fine nib is indeed as named and allows for precise writing and small letters without ink bleeding. Not to mention its a beautiful looking pen, too boot.

Can't Say Enough Good About My New Pen

I don't like the look of demonstrator pens in general. However, when I saw the Pilot Custom 74 in violet I decided that was the pen for my purple ink. Once it came and was filled I never regretted it. Enjoyed that pen so much. However, I carried it everywhere and eventually lost it. By that time all the violet ones were sold; there isn't one to be found on the planet. I debated for a long time whether to replace the lost one. I finally decided to do so and ordered it. I'm so glad I did. It writes beautifully. I ordered from Goulet Pens and couldn't be happier with the whole transaction. I contacted them before placing the order and they got back to me right away.
