LAMY joy Fountain Pen - black

Another wonderful purchase from Goulet. Though I own numerous Lamy pens, this is my first stub nib and I am very happy I finally bought it after thinking about it for too long. It writes great and is very smooth. Though it is a bit longer than my other pens, it still fits well in my journal pouch.

Issue out of box, but feels and looks great

Instany had issues with the nib out of the box. Decided to go directly to the manufacturer about the issue and so far so good. The pen in general feels great in the hand, looks great, but I just had a bad experience with the nib. Always skips/problems starting and the gap is so wide in the middle of nib that it makes a visible white line while writing. Maybe your experience will be difference, as both Goulet and Lamy are amazing at finding solutions to issues. I'm still not mad, I'm just disappointed at Lamy's quality control. Might try Joy products again one day.

Light and easy to work with for long stretches at a time; this pen really adds a flourish to everyday writing.
