I purchased this Webnotebook because the Clairefontaine A5 notebook I acquired recently was a major disappointment. The Clairefontaine A5 Notebook binding was over saturated with glue to the point where the pages stuck together and additionally the notebook did not lay flat to facilitate writing on the back side of the pages. The elastic band closure was annoyingly frustrating in that it constantly needed to be adjusted. I had to make some serious modifications to this notebook to make it work for me. That said, it is now useable and is doing its job. The Webnotebook from Rhodia on the other hand is a pleasant departure from the Clairefontaine A5! It has a hard cover, a storage pocket attached to the rear inside cover for small documents or notes and it has a page ribbon marker, perfect for journaling and the pages lay reasonably flat all absent on the Clairefontaine A5. Rhodia paper has become my go to paper and although I have yet to use this notebook, I expect the paper to be consistent with Rhodia quality. In my opinion this would be an excellent medium sized journal or hardcover daily notebook.

I have been using these Rhodia A5 Webnotebooks for journaling for several years now. I love them! The quality is excellent. The paper is perfect for fountain pens. I will keep buying them. I usually buy them from Goulet Pens because of their outstanding customer service.
