I find myself needing to write on paper that is not fountain pen friendly quite often, and this ink, paired with a fine or an extra fine nib, works a treat. It's perhaps not the darkest black you can get, but it's up there when coming out of a medium nib on Rhodia's paper. My specimen of the bonus Charlie pen actually has a great nib on it, so I loaded it up with some Fox Red and now I have another color at hand to underline, circle, or otherwise call out, that won't run out of ink for a long time.
