Noodler's Rattler Red Eel - 3oz Bottled Ink

I had ordered samples first. After test-driving them & making my choices, I discovered that 2 of my choices were out of stock. Noodlers was a substitute choice but is an excellent replacement. Noted-the bottles are filled to the very top, no skimping here. Packing & shipping were great.

A great red ink.

The delivery of this ink was amazingly fast and packaged with the care only Goulet knows. And really like this shade of red. It’s a darker red that will look good for Christmas cards….or writing a letter to friends.

A new favorite

This ink is a nice red. Not too bloodlike, not too dark or light. First I got a sample of it. It was in the Noodler's Eel series sampler. I got it for my red Parker Sonnet which is a dry writer and needed a wet ink. It flows very well and dries reasonably with very little showthrough if any. It shows up legibly yet obviously red on off white paper. This ink makes a dry nib a pleasure rather than a chore to write with. My other favorite ink in the red family is Iroshizuku fuyu-gaki. The Noodle's Red Rattler is good for everyday writing in my journal or notes. I think it will he a cheerful color for Christmas cards.
