Noodler's Ahab Flex Fountain Pen - Clear

One smelly pen!

The plastic or resin the pen is made of had a "knock you over" terrible scent when first received. After a month of it being "aired out," the smell is only faintly noticeable. (I hope it will eventually be gone.) Other than that, I like the feel and function of the Noodler Ahab Flex pen.

Useful but some problems with piston.

For the money, a good buy. piston requires careful placement or you get leakage through the nib. Must be kept upright

Flex pen adventure

After reading the reviews I was expecting a versatile flex pen with a unique aroma. My pen wrote very well without any tweaking, The aroma is there, I experienced it somewhere before, couldn't place it. I tried to get the flex but wasn't working for me, inexperience on my part, but the writing was very good. I think a page on a firm surface is probably optimum. I was on a notepad. I don't have the skill yet, practice needed.
