Unexpected favorite

I expected to like this one the least out of the ink samples that I got, but I actually loved it! Super fun shimmer and lovely rich color.

Shimmers only when put on thick/heavy

I love the idea of "shimmering" inks so thought I would give a sample a try. I do love the ink and the color but what I've found is you only really see neat shimmering effect when there's a considerable amount of ink on the paper. So if you have a fine point I don't know what the ink would look like. I used a glass dip pen with it and with a fresh dip and the ink is thicker and more on the paper the shimmer is obvious, but as the lines thin out some as the ink is used up, the shimmer dissipates considerably. I have no experience with these inks in a fountain pen but I would think to take advantage of what an ink like this is you'd have to have a broad tip to let more ink flow. I also noticed that I seemed to have to shake the ink up more each time I dipped as it seems to me like the "shimmer" might settle? Just seemed that way to me, maybe I'm wrong.

Really lovely color...clogs M nib so I likely won't purchase a large bottle since I rarely use stubs, but results are beautiful.
