Diamine 1864 Blue Black - Ink Sample

Black with a touch of blue

This particular Blue Black leans heavily into the black category. If you're looking for something that primarily appears black but is elevated and has a subtle blue characteristic, this could be for you. I couldn't give it 5 stars since I think it could get mistaken for black depending on the paper. But perhaps you'll disagree with me. Only one way to find out - get yourself a sample!

Nice but . . .

a little too dark for my current tastes. That said Diamine ink is always great, so if you want a darker Blue Black, you can't go wrong with this.

Love This Dark Ink

I was looking for a very dark Blue Black. It writes beautifully in my 3776, Rhodia and Clairfontaine papers. My standby has been Noodler's Midnight Blue, still love it, but I'm going to order a bottle of this one!
