Goulet Notebook w/ 68gsm Tomoe River Paper - A5, Lined

Good, not great, paper in a low page-count journal

A thin, soft-covered, fan-fold stapled notebook uniformly ruled from top to bottom. At A5 it's too big for a pocket carry, too thin for an ongoing journal, but perhaps the right size for a journal dedicated to a single long trip? The big attraction, of course, is the paper, but unlike TR loose sheets, the feel of the 68g/m^2 paper is, for me, not strikingly different than other pen-friendly papers and is very different from the unique feel you get with TR 52g/m^2 (when you can find it).

Great notebook at a great price! The 68g paper holds up well to wetter inks, and renders colors very well. The one that I received was actually a grid, not a lined, so there is that.

This paper is perfect. So smooth to write on.
