This empty bottle of De Atramentis Ink makes the perfect desk ink well. The small footprint, low profile, average-size opening, and flanged base make it ideal for filling most slim to medium size fountain pens. This works well for me. De Atramentis 45 Great Addition to my empty ink bottle collection.

I have put the DeAtramentis 45 Document ink Light Gray in a display case along with other empty bottles. I appreciate it when the empty bottles arrive with a bit of ink remaining in them. I use a Q-Tip to make a small swab on a Col-O-Ring card (also offered by Goulet) and use a dip pen to write the name of the ink. This gives me the opportunity to see how an ink looks on paper in front of me.
