Great ink for everyday use.
This ink is great for everyday journaling and the ink doesn't bleed. I am using this ink with the Pilot Vanishing Point pen I got at work and I've never been happy to write tons of reports.

In the Pilot Parallel Pen - Great!
Warning - this is a very specific review to my experience with De Atramentis Document Black in the Pilot Parallel pen. I tested various permanent blacks and narrowed it down to Sailor Kiwaguro, Platinum Carbon Black, and De Atramentis Document Black. I had been using Noodler’s Eel Black, but in the Parallel pen it didn’t flow well. It skipped a lot, but I was satisfied with it otherwise. After lots of tests on envelopes and letterhead, the De Atramentis came out the clear winner - the color was one of the deepest blacks, it flowed well out of the Parallel pen with no skips, dried the fastest of all, and was waterproof - although, all the samples in my test were. I used it fast enough that I couldn’t test to see if it clogged over time, but it cleaned fairly easily. I conducted another experiment, which some may find helpful. I wanted to find a clear body for the Parallel nib so I could eyedropper it and get a larger ink capacity, and see how much ink I had at a glance. So after some compatibility research, I ordered a Moonman/Mahjohn M2 and swapped the nib out (perfect fit, by the way). In this configuration, the DeAtramentis is just a little too wet, I’m guessing because of a slight gap between the feed fins and the barrel housing - causing it to pool in the feed section. So in this configuration, I may need to go back to the thicker Noodler’s ink.
