This Angler 18 upgrade to my stock Ascent 18 is almost unbelievable. The chassis and carrier bearing allow the full potential of the Ascent 18 parts to reach far beyond their normal limitations to a whole new level. I have only had a chance to see it crawl on an indoor course but it was still a great taste of what is to come.

After buying several parts just to finish the build I still couldn’t get the rear axle from driving under the rig. I’ll bet with a longer driveshaft, shorter shocks and relocating the rear links it would be a good rig. I traded it to my dad for some tires and a battery. He has more time and spare parts to tinker with it. I went back to stock chassis. It was a fun experiment though.
