So excited!
I received my order within days of purchase. It won't be used until spring, but I can hardly wait. This will be the second time my son and I have dipped my car. Special thanks to Gabe for giving me the "recipe" for Shadow Wine. My current color is Nebula Red Pearl and has received a lot of compliments in the last five summers. Time for a refresh though.

Tedious - meticulous, but worth the effort!
My wife has a 2011 Honda Pilot she’s hated the maroon color every since we bought used in 2015 - nothing like a well kept very clean like new used vehicle with decent miles and a price you can pay cash for - a vehicle paid for us like cash in the bank! But anyway, this was no doubt tough for a first timer like me with absolutely no experience and honestly not a car guy - dad used to make me work in our cars in my youth - needless to say I found joy doing many other things - car projects for me was nothing more than out of necessity - again I digress, anyway to start with I decided to only work on the grille and trim components first to see what it was like - I have to admit it was more labor intensive than I had expected - between removing some parts from the vehicle to the cleaning to masking certain areas and then pre-dip wipe down its was literally an all day event for me - to top it off it was an unusually cold and windy day for us in Southwest Florida - the good thing is I have an appointment with a friend who has dipped his car twice already - he’s learned a few things and feels confident we can tackle this beast - big vehicle lots of room for error, but confident between prep and planning we should turn this ugly maroon Pilot into a lovely Avalanche Grey beauty with a gloss coat for the wife - the plus is I’m going into this big project with some help - to end this blabber - I had a rough go with to bad cans of the black for the grille and trim - but was able to recover using some back up slated for the wheels - but the biggest bonus is how awesome Brad with DYC customer service quickly assessed the cans and hook me up with replacements - so in a nutshell- great challenging experience and look forward to sending you the final outcome 😃👍

Avalanche grey = primer grey
It looks alot more like primer than I was expecting. That being said in the sunshine it looks like the stock photos seen, that being said I love it. Looks extremely crisp clean and simple. It definitely makes you notice body lines on your car that you may have not even noticed before. Oh and since its essentially primer you can do colors over it! (I think) lol definitely recommend it for a first timer.
