I needed strong, U-shaped stakes sturdy enough to suspend 3/4" Schedule 40 PVC irrigation pipes at the base of retaining walls in a steeply terraced canyon. The stakes needed to be stiff enough to hammer into the spaces between the cement retaining wall blocks and long enough to secure the pipes firmly to the surface once they were wedged into the spaces between the blocks. These 12-inch, 8-gauge steel staples worked like a charm. I primed them then painted them with a brown lime wash paint so that they would blend in with the surrounding soil; the pipes were painted in similar fashion. Mine is an unconventional use for these stakes, but they are working perfectly to support my suspended irrigation system.

I'm using these staples to anchor heavy duty landscape fabric. They are doing a great job on one section, one section the fabric is ripping away from the staples because the are holding so well.
