A little kick, without a burn

Curry seasoning on popcorn? Might sound bizarre, if you've not explored many different ways to dress up popcorn. This blend has a nice combination of savory flavors, and a modest amount of heat to it. I found I particularly enjoy it on popcorn that also has a little bit of raw sugar sprinkled in, for the 'little sweet, little heat' that is more like a Thai-style curry flavor profile.

Berbere Ethiopian Seasoning

Was inspired to try this spice for the first time as I am a new entrant in African cuisine. I did not have ingredients for an African chicken and beans meal so I tried to spice up an old favorite. I used some of this spice in a black bean, spinach, sweet potato puff pastry. Ohhh, I will never make it again without this spice in my cupboard. It added a new liveliness blending so well with the cumin and cilantro I usually include. It was not a slap your face hot, but a glowing red coals hot. I can not wait to try including this spice in other dishes.
