Great for wood carving

I purchased the Aluma Cut bit for wood carving. The single-cut bit leaves a very fine finish when used properly. For heavy stock removal, hold the bit perpendicular to the wood fibers, cutter rotating in the downhill direction on the fibers and move the bit uphill. To leave a fine finish, use a very light touch and move the cutter downhill. For troublesome grain, hold the cutter parallel or at 45 degrees to the wood fibers.
