Kavanjo Banjo Pickup System

Great pickup, great service

I ordered the Kavanjo pickup attached to a fiberskyn head, and was very pleased with the product. David emailed me to confirm the banjo model and made recommendations for the head material (while I didn’t take the advice, I still appreciate the attention to detail!) The only thing to keep in mind with this pickup is it will NOT produce the same sound as acoustic - it’s a humbucker on a banjo, it’s going to sound like you’re playing an electric guitar with banjo picks. Excellent for blending with the acoustic sound to get a more consistent volume in the house, but on its own you definitely notice a difference in sound. If you record with this, blend it with a mic and you’ll be good to go.

I've personally used several banjo pickups and the kavanjo banjo pickup system is by far the best! Zero feedback and rich smooth sound. Ive actually tried to make it feedback and couldnt lol. Customer service was great too! They contacted me to make sure the head i was getting was the right one and answered all of my questions when asked. A++

Bango pickup

It was actually a gift for my son, who said it was easily installed and the sound was clean. The only concern was that it didn’t come as a left hand option, or perhaps it did and I wasn’t aware when I was purchasing it for him as a gift.
