The clamps are excellent, using as many as the designers tell you make them strong enough to climb up the roof with, although that was for testing purposes only. Always use a ladder! I would give 5 stars but there is no protection between the aluminum of the clamp and the steel roofing, except the roof paint. I installed thin stainless flashing (shim stock) to go between the clamp and the roof ridge.
