Better than my gml 8200. Compared to my serviced GML, the hvc250b is definitely smoother. Highs are less gritty. Bass boosts are firmer. There are some areas like 1-2khz or 350-500hz that can get ugly real fast with most eq's but when I need a little bit more of life in the source I can push those ugly frequencies. If you're skeptical about this eq just listen to demos on youtube. It's unbeatable for the price. Brady's customer service is top notch too. Helped me troubleshoot a stupid issue (my fault) and saved me a huge headache. Buy with confidence.
