Halifax Buffet Console Table 65''

Console cabinet is attractive, fits in nicely, Arrived with one unworkable hinge, the hinge pin having fallen onto the floor. Pin is rough and rusted, and I was unable to re-insert; so door hangs precariously from the one remaining hinge if I try to use it. I asked that it be made usable. After much polite back and forth I settled for a replacement hinge pin and a small refund for the inconvenience. What I received is two bright gold hinges, with unremovable hinge pins inserted. Cabinet hardware (11 pieces) is of a dark metal made to look old. Bright gold is not an option, and I am unable to remove a hinge pin, which would be visible on the front anyway. We tried to work it out, rejecting the offer of a gold replacement hinge, but the problem continues from day of delivery, leaving a significant portion of the cabinet unusable.

This console table is very well made and looks terrific, however the functional aspect of the narrow console table is lacking. The shelves are so narrow on the inside you can’t store much. I bought this to keep kids toys and crafts out of sight but things as simple as coloring books and notebook paper are too large to fit on the shelf. The drawers are also too small to be functional and the large middle drawer gets stuck every time and requires two hands and some wiggling to close. I wish I had ordered the standard width one.

Arrived in perfect condition. Well packaged. Perfect depth for my coffee bar so it doesnt take up too much space in my small kitchen. Met all expectations. The drawers do need beeswax added to enable them to slide easier.
