What it meant to me...

To begin with, it's amazing to be able to read about your path from a hobby to the business that you have built. Especially because I started much like you - in a course and then self taught in many aspects. In my 20 years of dealing with ceramics, this way or the other, I have never stumbled upon anyone sharing the secrets of the trade so bluntly and unselfishly. So, a big, big thank you for that! Although I was aware of some of the things you wrote about, I haven't had them so neatly organised in my head, nor had I had them figured out so thoroughly. Starting to see a picture now, which is amazing. The chapters are divided in a clear and logical manner, they cover the basics that are applicable in most countries and regions and it's easy to adjust everything you write about to local legislation. The parts of the e-book that have nothing to do with laws and taxing were easy to adjust and apply to my own way of thinking and functioning. I still haven't finished reading it all the way through, but I read enough to know I loved it! I am highlighting, going back to some parts that I find especially interesting and valuable... it is my morning read with fruit and coffee! I am seriously thinking about making the leap into the unknown and give it a go with a small business, for now alongside my nine-to-five (I am a lawyer), but hopefully I shall be able to keep creating and make it all a bit more focused and meaningful. Lots of good solid advice, it's useful because like the market checklist it is pre-organized in a useable condensed way - I'm using it as a sort of review/reminder of where to focus my energy when I get overwhelmed by task minutia!
