Excellent
Plenty of bite/sparkle on the top end but retains a strong core sound. You can push this mouthpiece and get very close to the Cannonball tone from Sticks (Mercy, Mercy, Mercy! Live at "The Club"). Or, ease off and you still have a great warm tone. The mouthpiece has even response across all dynamic ranges; it is not like some mouthpieces that have bite when pushed but lose the body of the core tone at lower dynamics. I also find the thin beak sits very comfortably in the mouth, but this may vary by user.

GREAT mouthpiece, has a surprising amount of power/projection for not being a high baffle piece... in fact, I think this Excalibur has at least as much punch as my high baffle RPC, but without the wild intonation issues. Excalibur still sounds sweet when you back off the volume. Now I'm curious to try the larger chamber versions of this mouthpiece. I fear for my bank account!
