Great option for shoe to pedal fitting. Helps keep locked in contact with the pedal when. clipped in.

The pads definitely do what they're supposed to do; once installed, shoe contact with the pedals was much improved and the stability and reduced foot strain benefits of the mallet trail platform are much appreciated. Installation, however, is way more difficult than the instructions imply. Tire levers can get the old pads off, eventually, but are pretty worthless for installing the new ones. The pads are registered to the pedal by a raised button/indent connection that also stops the pad from easily sliding in its retaining grooves. As a result, much more pressure than that provided by a tire lever is needed to insert the pads; plastic is scraped off the pads in the retaining grooves and ends up sticking out at the end of the pedals; and, downward pressure (from a mallet!) was needed to completely seat the pads in their grooves.

Pads fixed the gap between pedal and shoe that does also took away the pain I was having due to the poor shoe pedal contact. The downside, the pads were very hard to swap and replace. The use of a tire tool as suggested didn’t work for me. I used a needle nose plier and carefully worked the old off.
