Straps are too long

The pads themselves would be fine, but the straps are waaay too long. They did not fit my 5 year old. They kept falling off. I had to tuck them underneath the plastic shell just to get them to stay on. I guess they'll fit great when he's 9. Yes, I ordered the small.
