This is a solid machine and of significant quality for the price. I expected something much lighter weight and have been highly pleased with what I received. I immediately pout it to work trimming handmade notebooks where it has performed brilliantly.

My situation involved having to cut paper from the edge of my booklets, which had the 'fanning' effect. . of no more than 5 or 6 pages. This guiollotine performed perfectly. Regular sliding cutting always gave an uneven/jagged cut. The fact this machine has a clamping mechanism to hold the book in place makes a huge difference. The only thing is that you must pull the lever all the way down. . as much as it goes, to cut the bottom part, if not, there may be strands left on. But I am happy with this product, after testing at least 4 others.

I'm impressed with the quality of the cutter. It feels very well made. It's heavy and definitely stays in place. It's very easy to set up, just required a few steps, and it was ready to go within minutes of unboxing. It doesn't take much effort to cut a decent amount of paper. I have yet to test with big stack, but with 50-100 it performed wonderfully. Very happy with this purchase.
