How it helped me

The book itself was helped on getting me started speaking in tongues. Other than that, I think reading it was helpful for enlightenment (as in recognizing meaning of Scripture I'd read over before but never grasped the meaning), example: When Jesus said"I must go away so the comforter will come, if I don't go, you can't receive the comforter). I always read over it but never thought carefully about what I read, I just read it lightly without its impact as a real law as just what I've always read in Bible but didn't think about what he meant like it was a reality, that there was a physical law in play: The only way the Comforter would come, is if the exchange was made of Jesus going to the Father. So a actual spirit-physics law was at play. In other passages, it explained the meaning by what the original author's actually meant and helped me think about it realistically/logically=helped me with skill of thinking about passage without my own assumptions as to its context. It also helped me formulate my own questions based on material, such as: Is gift of healing different from healing in Great Commission? It also helped with knowing what are sacred cows.

Concerning Tongues by Curry Blake has taken a lot of the “mystery” out of tongues for me.

I gained understanding that tied the truths I was taught in my teen years to my understanding today. Tongues is a tool given to us to gain directly from God and a weapon to defeat the enemy and so much more. Tongues is a miraculous communication with the Most Holy God, my Father. I bought two extra books, one for our Life Team Leader and one to lend out to other members.
