Light and strong

I am not a professional cellist, but I have been playing the cello since I was a little girl in pigtails :) Where I grew up, I did not have easy access to instruments, sheet music or even things like rosin or bows. And as a perpetual student in grad school, I also never had the means to look for music related things when I DID have access to variety. However, I have reached the stage in my life where I can splurge on the luxury of the coda diamond bow and I am just so blown away by the change in my sound, and the lack of pain in my right shoulder - I am blown away by this bow. It is light and it produces a soft sound. The best part, though, is the balance. It is as light as air, and seems to float when I play. Next on my list is a n ew cello - but I will say, the low quality cello that I have has suddenly improved in sound due to this bow. I went back and forth with my wooden bow and this new bow, and the difference in sound is stark indeed. I also hear myself better when I am playing in orchestra. As for StringWorks - what wonderful, fast and informative communication I had with the cello specialist.
