A pleasure to play

The staff at StringWorks were so attentive and able to answer all of my questions as I decided which viola to purchase as my first owned instrument. Switching from my rental viola to my very own viola has been incredible. The warmth and resonance of the Artist Viola was immediately apparent, especially on the lower strings. I feel like this instrument sings with a voice of its own, and it has been delightful to pick up and practice every day. I am so glad that I spent the time speaking with StringWorks about what I like and need from my instrument - they have delivered all that and more. I will be playing this beauty for years to come!

Artist Viola

I’ve had my Artist Viola for a few weeks now. I’ve been a violinist for 15 years, and could have never guessed the great quality and sound that could come from such a reasonably priced instrument! The low end of this Viola has such a beautiful rich tone. I have full confidence that though it is a beginners instrument, I would have no problem playing in community groups or quartets. The staff at stringworks are only just an e-mail away, and have answered any and all questions and concerns I’ve had. I have no doubt that I will buy from them again when it comes time to upgrade my instrument.

Really happy with it!

I received this about a month or so ago and I am really happy with the instrument. I have been playing viola for about 29 years, but the 16" model I have been playing has gotten too large for my hands as I get older, so I bought the 15" artist viola. It was a tough choice for me to make but this instrument made it a lot easier. I am very happy with the sound, it was much better than I was expecting in a smaller instrument in this price range and I would highly recommend it to others! I also love the customization of the woods on the fittings and customer service was excellent!
