ELECTRA-2020 Platform Knee High Boot (Red Patent)

Not actually the same as the black ones

I have these boots in black and they are my favorite boots. I had assumed that the red ones would be exactly the same except red.... they are not. They have the same annoying hook things instead of eyelets so I have cut the ends off the laces and painstakingly threaded through the back of the hooks so I can take the boots off without them unlacing themselves. They have a loop on the tongue which seems a good idea to hold the tongue up with but actually makes the boots sit funny. So I've not used it. For some reason the red boots don't hug my calves like the black ones do perfectly. Perhaps they're a little taller? Not sure, either way they're just not quite as perfect as the black ones which is a little disappointing but they're still great boots.
