Great quality mortar and pestle. Truly. It's got a great weight to it and it feels comfortable in your hand. I did under estimate the size, I guess 4 inches is smaller than I thought. Still it will be absolutely fine for its intended use. I would say it can hold about 1/2 cup of product effectively without spilling over while grinding.

If you're on the fence about getting it, just go ahead and do it. It's the perfect size, nice and heavy and beautifully made.
