Black Platform Lug Derby

Bought these because I wanted a dress shoe with a little more personality. The platform sole gives a good amount of presence and the leather feels solid. They’re not the lightest shoes I own, but they feel well made and comfortable for longer events.

The black leather has a nice shine and the overall design feels modern. I’ve worn them with suits and also with jeans, and they work both ways. The only thing I noticed is they are a little heavier than my regular dress shoes.

I like the mix of classic derby style with the chunkier sole. They fit true to size for me and the inside feels much better than some other dress shoes I’ve owned. Took a couple wears to get used to the extra height, but now they feel natural.
