Burnished Brown Green-Sole Derby

Really happy with how these turned out. The brown patina looks natural and gives the shoes a more handcrafted feel, and the thicker sole makes them comfortable for longer days. I wouldn’t wear them with a very formal tuxedo, but they work great for modern business and smart casual looks.

The style is what sold me on these shoes. The shape is clean, but the green sole gives them some personality compared to traditional Derbys. The leather quality feels good, though I needed a little time to soften them up around the heel.

I bought these for office wear and weekend dinners, and they’ve been getting a lot of compliments. The leather finish looks better in person with more variation in the color. They are slightly heavier than my regular dress shoes, but the sole feels solid and comfortable.
