Burnished Brown Strap Platform Derby

I wanted something that could work with both dress pants and more relaxed outfits, and these fit that role pretty well. The craftsmanship and small details like the strap design are what stood out to me. They are a little heavier than my usual shoes, but the look makes up for it.

The style is definitely more modern than a traditional Derby shoe. I like the extra height from the sole and the brown burnished leather gives them a vintage feel. The fit was true to size for me, though they needed a little time to soften up.

I bought these for work and weekend dinners, and they’ve been a fun addition to my wardrobe. The sole feels lighter than I expected for a platform shoe, and the leather looks well finished. I would recommend wearing thicker socks during the first few wears while they break in.
